Greater Seattle, WA – Are You Ready To Pay Less Tax?

If you get upset paying more tax than you must pay, especially when you realize you have been volunteering your control of cash for others to spend, then I encourage you to continue reading.

Currently, there is another trillion-dollar bill being debated in Congress and reconciled before it can be put forth and signed into law.  If you were on the fence previously as to whether taxes would need to increase to pay for the last round of stimulus, which direction do you believe tax rates will go now?

When was the last time your tax advisor said, “here’s an idea that I think will save you money?”  There is a great misunderstanding and lack of communication between what tax planning is and what tax return preparation involves.  People may be expecting to receive tax planning from the professionals they have preparing their tax returns.   One problem is that many tax return preparers do not provide tax planning services and the ones that say they do, may not be considering a comprehensive view of what you are trying to achieve outside of what shows up on your tax return.  We believe the real estate professionals and construction business owners we work with live beyond the tax return and want to know how to pay less tax.

Preparing a tax return involves taking your information and placing it in the right box, on the right line of the right form and then having it delivered to the right place for you to meet filing requirements.  Sounds an awful lot like compliance – conformity in fulfilling official requirements.  The information submitted on a tax return is from the past which unless you have a specially equipped DeLorean available, it is difficult to significantly change the outcome of how much tax will be due when the return is filed.

Our approach to proactive tax planning takes a comprehensive look at identifying ways for you to pay less tax.  We search for legal strategies for you to pay less tax that apply to your family, home and employment, business and investing activities and your future transitions (i.e., succession, major sale of real estate or business operation, estate plans).  Our proactive tax planning incorporates what you are trying to achieve in life and beyond, while helping you fund those ambitions with money you would have spent on taxes you did not need to pay.

Knowing how to pay less tax helps keep you in control of your cashProactive tax planning looks ahead where there are many more opportunities for you to succeed in paying less tax.  Before you send in another tax payment, ask yourself, “do I really need to spend this much on taxes?”
